Following the success of VTE 2015, the Mater Hospital ED group has asked global experts in venous thromboembolism to speak at VTE Dublin 2016 on September 16th, Croke Park, Dublin.
This is a unique international multidisciplinary conference hosting world leaders in the field such as Prof Stavros Konstantinides (author of the European Society of Cardiology Guideline on PE). There will also be debate from Emergency Medicine specialists (Dan Horner/Kerstin Hogg – Manchester region) on topics including thrombolysis in submassive PE; early discharge/ambulatory care of PE, investigation and management of calf vein DVTs and interventional radiology in acute DVT.
This year’s conference will feature a point of care ultrasound workshop on DVT and on PE (ECHO and lung ultrasound).
The programme is designed to cover all the relevant medical disciplines and to reflect modern management of VTE.
The conference is hosted by the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital affiliated with University College Dublin and is supported by Science Foundation Ireland and the European Pulmonary Hypertension Association
