Abstract submissions for the 2023 ASM have now closed and authors have been informed of the outcome of their submissions via email.

 

Registration

Registration for the ASM is now available via exordo.

Standard rates are available until 11th October.  Late booking rates will be charged for bookings made on or after Thursday 12th October.

A limited number of online attendance tickets are available for the main track of the ASM.  N.B. These tickets do not include access to the parallel Pre-Hospital and Emergency Nursing tracks or access to the sessions after the event and are only available for purchase until 11 October.

The IAEM Annual General Meeting will be held at the ASM on Friday 20th October.  Details will be sent by email to members in good standing in advance of the meeting.

Ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia for Emergency Medicine clinicians

Wednesday 18th October 2023

Description: Learn and develop super useful ultrasound guided regional anaesthesia skills in this one day workshop. Minimal lectures and maximal hands on practical scanning and supervision from our expert faculty. Top tips and tricks from the ICEMT ultrasound and regional anaesthesia faculty.

The programme includes an introduction to ultrasound guided nerve blocks, monitoring, consent and documentation of procedures, setting up a nerve block trolley, needle tracking techniques, lower limb blocks (fascia iliaca superior and inferior approach, femoral, popliteal and PENG), upper limb (axillary nerve block) and chest wall (fascial plane blocks, serratus anterior superficial and deep and erector spinae).

Suitable for: Interns, SHOs, Registrars and Consultants

No pre-requisite level of ultrasound experience required; beginners are welcome!

High trainee to trainer ratio with a maximum of 25 spaces available – don’t miss out, book now via exordo!
