Interview with Mr John O’Donnell, Consultant in EM, Galway University Hospital on 9th December 2015, following the revelation that there were 30 in-patient boarders on trolleys the previous day in the GUH ED, including 17 who had been waiting for a bed for more than 24 hours. Amongst these were 7 who had waited more than 45 hours including an 89 year old patient who had been waiting more than 95 hours
